From 1st January 2023, The Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM) and the Institute of Bankers in Malawi (IOB) merged and formed a new entity called Bankers Association of Malawi Limited registered by guarantee with the same nine members which are : First Capital Bank, NBS Bank, National Bank of Malawi, Standard Bank, Ecobank, MyBucks Banking Corporation, CDH Investment Bank, FDH Bank and First Discount House.
BAM aims at promotion, protection, representation, and development of the professional, skills and business interests of its member banks by conducting short term professional training courses to the banks and financial Institutions. It awards Certificates of attendance/completion to candidates who successfully complete the short courses.
